Did you know that Worcester lies at the geographical heart of New England? It is less than an hour's drive from Springfield, Boston, Providence, and Manchester, and we are excited to be taking the seminar inland towards our Central and Western Massachusetts members.
Judy G. Russell is an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining speaker. She is skilled at being able to address audience members at all levels, so there will be something for everyone.

Judy G. Russell, CG, The Legal Genealogist!
The Legal Genealogist Judy G. Russell is a Certified Genealogist℠ with a law degree who writes, teaches and lectures on a wide variety of genealogical topics, ranging from using court records in family history to understanding DNA testing. A Colorado native with roots deep in the American south on her mother's side and entirely in Germany on her father's side, she is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society and numerous state and regional genealogical societies. On the faculty of the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research in Alabama, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Board for Certification of Genealogists, and has written for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly and the National Genealogical Society Magazine.

For over 30 years, MGC has safeguarded researchers' access to Public Records in Massachusetts and has provided educational programs for the genealogical community. Leaders in the field of genealogy both in Massachusetts and nationally, Melinde Lutz Byrne, Polly FitzGerald Kimmitt, Barbara Matthews, Mary Ellen Grogan, and Sharon Sergeant will present an in-depth examination of how legislation at the federal and state levels directly impacts your access to genealogical records!

A free downloadable version of the seminar handouts will be available at the MGC website by mid-July for seminar registrants only. A printed copy of the handouts can also be ordered at registration and will be provided to attendees on the day of the seminar. A limited number of additional printed copies will be available for walk-in registrants, so order ahead.

Hogan Campus Center is building number 34 on the map: the second building on the left with the silver cross on it. You can see that parking is plentiful and adjacent to the Hogan Center. As you enter the doors from the parking lot you will see the registration tables directly in front of you, up about 5-6 steps. There is an elevette for those who require it.
